Baryn Futa believes every society should support and protect art to the extent possible. Unfortunately, Baryn also believes that the arts are too often taken for granted. It is that neglect that serves as the driving force behind Baryn Futa's extensive support for the arts. Baryn Futa feels that brilliant artists are too often unappreciated by society, he is now motivated to do everything possible to rectify that situation. Put simply, Baryn Futa firmly believes that fine art is a key element that allows insight into any society and serves as a sort of time capsule.

Now an arts aficionado, Baryn Futa started working at the Denver Art Museum when he retired. Until then, he had little exposure to art. He used the time at DAM to attend arts classes, art fairs and exhibitions. He now has an impressive art collection of his own., and he loans his pieces to museums frequently. He is a very important member of many prominent art museums, such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, and The Jewish Museum, all of which have impressive collections of their own. Baryn Futa hopes to encourage art preservation everywhere.

Baryn Futa currently is able to point to his own rather impressive art collection, as well as many memberships in prominent art museums with impressive collections of their own. He also loans pieces from his own collection to museums when possible because he wants more people to appreciate the arts at least as much as he does. Despite Baryn Futa’s perspective that art appreciation is a key element of every human society and should be supported fully, he operates from the opposite point if view. That is because he is often disappointed to learn that art is too often taken for granted and not treated as a priority.

It is, in fact, that neglect that serves to drive Baryn Futa in his quest to motivate more people to support the fine arts sufficiently enough so that artists thrive. As a benefactor and as someone who simply appreciates the finer things in life, it saddens Baryn to know that too few great artists are shown enough appreciation to thrive, which is why he appreciates being in a position to support the arts to the extent he does. He realizes that’s a privilege many don’t have, so he is intent on picking up the slack by taking on as much responsibility as possible.
